Advise on Spies, Mirage Tanks, & other stuff!
Spies are excellent units to try things with if you get bored. Ever see a walking Cosmonaut or Chrono Commando? Try it on your friends and see how long it takes them to notice, and then laugh as it actually infiltrates something while it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Yet more underused units. The Mirage Tank is excellent defense if hidden properly and can wipe Yuri's smirk off his face when trying to Mutate your guys to use against you. Deep fried Brute, a dish best served while laughing at your foe. And speaking of the rise in Yuri players, what about Terror Drones? Eliminates nearly EVERY YURI UNIT.

And for you Yuri's out there as well, don't take crap from the Robot Tanks. A Yuri Prime can take them out in 2 deploys easy, and can destroy Chaos/Terror Drones in a single Mind Blast. Brutes can be killed in a similar fashion. Mind over matter, I say.

Having problems with Boomers? You shouldn't. Destroyers, Typhoon Attack Submarines, and the surprisingly underused Dolphin can turn them into jetsam in no time. And of course Boomers are great against themselves.

And as for those Allies, do yourselves a big favor. Unless it's a Megawealth map, make an Ore Purifier. The extra money they generate is nothing to sneeze at, and it can easily pay for itself in long matches. Speaking of more cash, the Grinder is a very useful structure. When used in conjunction with the Cloning Vats, Mastermind, and captured Civilians, you can make a lot of money very quickly.

What goes up, must come down!
I usually see people only using the magnetron only to (A) lift enemy tanks to themselves so they can either mind control it or destroy it and (B) to attack building with its tractor beam. Some people don't know this but the magnetron can shoot through buildings. Well here's a neat little trick that is fun and destructive. Whenever you see any tank next to a building, make the magnetron attack it and while the magnetron is pulling the tank toward itself, watch the tanks shadow. If the shadow is above the structure, move the magnetron away. This will make the magnetron's beam disappear and the the tank will fall right on top of the structure instantly destroying it. The conyard may take 2 tank drops to destroy it but it matters by the tanks size.

Fast money for Yuri!!
If you are Yuri and are stuck for cash do the following. Defend your base from incoming attacks while your money builds up. Build a Genetic Mutator and train 20 Initiates. Use the Genetic Mutator on the Initiates, turning them into Brutes. This will rise their price to 500 credits. Send all 20 Brutes to the Grinder and watch the money roll in.

Super Walls...Repairable & Even Fire!
When playing Yuri's team you can build super walls that are repairable and can fire upon ground units and air units. To build a super wall you need to build tank bunkers and Gattling tanks. Build rows and rows of tank bunkers and fill them all with Gattling tanks. You can seal up an entire base. The reason we use Gattlings instead of other tanks is because they can fire in the air as well. For extra strength you can put psychic towers or Masterminds right behind every fourth tank bunker. That way if someone attacks the tanks the psychic tower can get them. If the enemy attacks the tower the tanks can get them. You can even use the super walls as gates. After making a complete wall with no gaps you can just deploy the tank every time you let something out and then put it back in to close it up. Very good if there are Terror Drones in the area.

Psychic Tower Tip:
Whenever there is one or more psychic towers in an area you should build a grinder in the area. That way whenever you get attacked, as soon as something is mind controlled you can send it quickly into the grinder, get money for it and leave the tower open to collect new units. Make sure that if the Grinder and Psychic tower are in a relatively open area with nothing around, protect it with Gattlings.

Some good advise!
The first and foremost strategy is to always, always, ALWAYS have a good air defense. 5-6 IFVs/Flack Tracks/Gattling Tanks can save the day if you see an Eagle squadron or Kirov Airship coming your way. Yuri can put his Gattling Tanks in Tank Bunkers to increase range, but unless there's only one entrance to your base or it's a small map, I like to keep my defence mobile.

Secondly, when it comes to ground/tank defenses, the opposite applies. Due to the huge number of Yuri players out there, your seemingly unbreakable GI+Guardian GI wall can be easily smashed by a single MasterMind. The only unit that can turn your base defenses against you is Yuri Prime, and even then, it's slow and you get a warning. It may not be cost-effective, but it's better than getting your units taken from you.

Don't count out all your weapons. So many great units are being neglected that it makes me want to scream. The Crazy Ivan, for instance. Why put up with that stupid Genetic Mutator getting tons of your guys? As soon as you see it's ready, make an Ivan. When your units get converted, plop a bomb on one or two of them, and in the explosion the rest will die. Simple!
Another rarely-used unit is the British Sniper. Have you seen one of those babie in action? Another great counter to the "impregnable" GI wall. Put it in an IFV and let the fun begin. Also, what ever happened to the almighty Apocalypse Tanks? And Chrono Legionarres? More game-winning-but-hardly-used units.

And finally, everyone do yourselves a favor. Build a Service Depot. ::grimaces in shame:: The battles I've seen lost because the player didn't build it and his Construction Yard gets blown up within 10 minutes. C'mon, people! A good rule of thumb- right when the War Factory gets done, build a Depot, 3 Miners, and a new MCV. Trust me. It's a lifesaver.

Chrono the Harriers!
Did you know that if you built an Airforce Command with four Harriers (Black Eagles are better) you can Iron Curtain the Harriers on the Airforce Command and send them over. You can go right through their defenses!

Also you can Chronoshift the Harriers into open ground (or behind the enemy base) and Chronoshift them. The Harriers wont die, they are just on the ground WITHOUT the Airforce Command Center. Now tell the Harriers to attack.

Early Allied Base Build order!
Deploy MCV. Build power plant two squares east of CY. Build barracks and deploy one square upwards of CY to form a cul de sac (This is to form a temporary defense that prevents GIs from being run over by enemy vehicles, though with GGIs they are much easier to use by plugging up gaps with them). As barracks is deployed, wall in your CY ASAP. Build 2 dogs, 2 GIs, 1 Guardian G1, 1 Engineer. Then Build refinery.

Deploy dogs to explore map, and eat any wandering recon units. Deploy GIs, one to left of CY, and right to take down recon dogs. Guardian GI to stop incoming light vehicles for now. Engineer for rapid IFV rush.

If you are US, build Command Center. If not, crank out Weapons factory. Dogs should have found enemy HQ by now. Build one pillbox and get ready to deploy. Build IFV, followed by 2 grizzlys and 1 harvester. Chuck engineer in IFV and take out either CY or refinery. If that fails, increase production, one more refinery, command center, and one Patriot site. Build 7 tanks and go harvester hunting. Increase numbers of Guarding GIs to defend against incoming tanks. Win the attrition war!

Freeze n Crush!
Put 3-4 Chrono legionnaire in the battle fortress, give the remaining space for 1-2 sniper or SEAL to swipe the infantry. Back the battle fortress up with IFVs for anti-air. When the Chrono legionnaire inside is firing and holding a tank, move your battle fortress over the tank. The tank will certainly get run over even before it can shoot the battle fortress. However, never try this trick when the enemy's tank number is greater than your Chrono  legionnaires inside the Battle Fortress. I tried this trick on lasher tank and even the irritating Soviet Apoc tanks, the effect is wonderful.

Soviet and Allied Tips!
Soviets:
1) ALWAYS send Siege choppers with any attack. They will take care of any
unwanted enemy infantry that come out of destroyed buildings. If your
attacking force encounters heavy resistance, deploy the choppers to destroy
much of the enemy defense.

2) Same strat for normal RA2, send flak tracks filled with conscripts and
flak troopers into the enemy base with your attacking force. They will be
effective anti air units, they will draw fire from your main attackers, and
they can help in the attack too.

Allied:
1) Send Battle fortresses filled with 4 Guardian GI's and 1 Seal with Prism
Tanks to the enemy base. The guardian GI's and Seals will be alive if your
fortress gets destroyed and will help in the attack.

2) When attacking with your Navy, use Aircraft Carriers with 2-4
dolphins per carrier as an escort. the air units will draw fire from
gattling weapons, and the rain of jets will damage units and buildings.

3) Also, attack from the air. If you have enough resources, or can get
plenty during the game, build many Harriers or Black Eagles. Just before you
attack with your main force, send your jets. The bombs will do damage, and
the destroyed jets will rain on the enemy. The idea is to soften up the enemy base. This is best used with many jets.  Bulk is the key!

A tip for all sides: Always have numerous tanks roaming your base for added defenses!

Tanya BF Special!
1 part Tanya, 2 parts Guardian GI, 1 part Sniper and 1 part SEAL. Load em in the Battle Fortress. Get in the enemy base and SHAKE IT BABY!!! Shaken not stirred =)
Send this in with an Engineer IFV in an enemy base and the sniper will take care of any Yuris, Guardians will mutilate tanks and Tanya and SEAL will blow away buildings. Let these guys out of the fortress to let em have a field trip in the enemy base! (don't really need Tanya, but she can set C4s on tanks to protect the team.)

Trick the Grande Cannons!
When Yuri a good strategy against a French Grand Cannon Turtler would be to bring your forces up close enough to be out of range of the cannons by at least 5 cells and use a Yuri Prime to capture a building behind the cannon's, preferably a heavy armored one like a power plant, war factory or C-yard. The cannons will turn around and fire at the building. Their ROT is slow so as soon as they start firing on the structure, rush in with your ground units and head straight for the power and knock your opponent out! This works especially well with a two pronged attack to confuse your opponents grand cannons and try to get close to buildings when you get in the base so the grand cannon's can hit their own buildings and help you out :)

Magnetron Base Defense!
Build the Magnetron and put 3 layers of wall around him. When enemy tanks come, it will automatically lifts it and drops it on the wall. Build many of this defense around your base and all the ground vehicles except for V3s will die very easily. But make sure to have Viruses, Gattling guns and Psychic towers to support your Magnetrons!

Yuri Economics (do the math)!
Gattling Tower: requires power, longer range vs. air, takes up more power, and takes up less space.
Tank Bunker (with gattling tank): Doesn't require power, has longer range vs. ground, can be promoted (resulting in more power and faster firing speed than the tower), has more armor, can be built earlier and faster, and when the bunker is destroyed you still have the tank.

The only real disadvantage I have found about T-bunkers is that air units (especially Harriers) can shoot directly at the tank, which gives you an empty and damaged bunker. They both cost the same so, with the info I've given you, you do the math.

Build in Bulk!
It's no secret that building huge armies win battles. Bulk always dominates! With Yuri's Revenge this still holds true, but you do need to mix your units properly. When making battle groups, make sure you can protect your group from attacks from the air as well as the land when they're in the field. For example, when using Soviets, building a mass army of 30 to 40 Rhino Tanks looks impressive, but if you go charging into a well defended base, your tanks will disappear in no time. And if your attacked in the battle field by air units, Rhinos have no air defense. But add about 12 Apoc tanks, 6 Flak Traks,  and a dozen V3 Rocket Launchers or Siege Choppers to the mix and you've got a force to recon with! Just group your Rhinos, Apoc tanks, and Flak Tracks and use them to protect your V3s or Siege Choppers. Now head to an enemy base, use your V3s or deploy your Siege Choppers to soften up defenses. They can fire out of the range of most base defenses. Then take your Rhinos and Apocs and obliterate your enemy!

Chrono your army!
First you obviosly have to build a Chronosphere. Then you make 3 Battle Fortress' and fill each up with one SEAL, 3 Guardian GI's and 1 whatever. I suggest the Chrono Legionnaire. Then Build four Prism Tanks and build 2 tanks of anything. I like Apoc Tanks if you have Soviet technology, or 2 Mirage Tanks if you have no Soviet or Yuri technology.

It should look like this (group and line them up tight) You can Chrono all nine units at one time:

B = Battle Fortress (filled with units)
P = Prism Tank
W = Whatever kind of tank you chose

BBB
WWP
PPP

Then look for a weakness in the enemy defense and Chrono your group there!

Tons of Yuri Tips!
Building Smasher: The magnetron can be used to destroy buildings. If you target a
stationary structure such as a building, the magnetron will damage and destroy it. Just
put a few other units around to guard it and let the magnetron do all the work!

Plane Killer: The magnetron can grab and drag aircraft, as long as they are on the ground. Group a few gattling tanks, yuris and lasher tanks with one or two magnetrons. Then move them to the edge of an enemy's base, with the magnetrons within striking range of the enemy aircraft. Use the magnetrons to grab the aircraft and either let the gattling tanks destroy them as they are dragged closer or drop the aircraft on enemy buildings to destroy both the aircraft and the buildings. Use the lasher tanks and yuris to defend the group against enemy units.

Mutate the Civilians: Some maps have groups of civilians doing nothing but taking up
valuable space. Use the Genetic Mutator to turn these lazy civilians into Brutes and put
them to work for you!

Use the Civilians: Use your Yuri clones to take control of civilians on the map. Then
send the civilians into your Grinder for extra money or into your Bio Reactors for extra
power. You could also march them straight into your enemy's base defenses to draw
enemy fire for attacking units (or just for fun).

Take over Defenses: Build a cloning vat then build a Yuri Prime (this gives you two
Yuri Primes). Use your Yuri Primes to take over control of your enemy's base defenses.
(Taking over two tesla coils that have an overlapping range makes for a lot of fun.) Take
over some defensive structure, then just sit back and watch as your enemy has to fight his own defenses. Watch the health of the defenses, just before he destroys them, sell them for a little extra money. Yuri Prime can easily take over tesla coils and pill boxes due to their range. To take over prism towers, send in a few ground units just ahead of Yuri Prime to draw fire until he is close enough to take control of the towers.

Big Boomer: Don't under estimate the power of Yuri's Boomer submarine. Boomers
can easily defeat Soviet subs or any Allied ship in one-on-one battles. As an added
bonus, they can be devastating to enemy bases. Use groups of 4-5 Boomers to destroy
your enemy's fleet. Then, use the Boomer's missiles to dismantle your enemy's base.

Soviet Tips!
Climb the Tech ladder as fast as possible. Be sure that you make two to three extra miners, then pop out some Rhinos, Flack Tracks and Drones. Also be sure you build Battle Bunkers for base defenses, and some building garrisons if any are available. Be sure you have an Industrial Plant when you start making your real army. Siege Choppers are excellent for fighting Yuri. Use them with some Apocs and Flack of any sort. Don't deploy them when taking out infantry though. They will be much safer that way. Use V3 Rocket Launchers, Siege Choppers, and Kirovs to kill an enemy effectively. Ivans are good when their base defense is gone or low power.

Couple Good Soviet Tips!
Brute Killer: The easiest way to kill Brutes when playing as the Soviet side is to use
Terror Drones. They move very quickly and can kill Brutes faster than just about any
other unit in the game. Scatter several terror drones in and around your base for
protection from Brute attacks. They can also stop units that have been mutated into
Brutes before they can do any serious damage to your base if an opponent decides to use the Genetic Mutator against you.

Know your Chopper: The Soviet Siege Chopper makes a great artillery unit when it is
deployed but at close range it is an easy target. Use deployed siege choppers to pound
away at incoming enemy units but, when they start getting too close, un-deploy and let
the chopper's machine guns do their job. For example, Brutes can easily destroy siege
choppers if they get close enough but Brutes are very easy to kill with the siege chopper's machine gun. Also, Yuri clones can take control of deployed choppers but, not choppers that are in the air.

Yuri Battle Tactic!
First build 5 or 6 floating discs, or as many as you want...then, after building a cloning vat, get 2 Yuri primes. Build some Viruses and 1 or 2 magnetrons. After you have done this, send in the floating discs, put some on power plants and other on refineries. Then, with the viruses and magnetrons, send in the Yuri primes. Mind control your enemy's construction yard and use the viruses to kill any infantry they have, the second Yuri prime to defend against units and the magnetrons to kill pill boxes or sentry guns they might build. Once you have captured the con yard, since it will automatically be sold if you undeploy it, build their barracks, weapon factory, and service depot in you base. Once you have done this you can either sell their con yard and start attacking them, or take your units away. After having their barracks, weapon factory and service depot you will be able to build an allied/soviet (depending on what side they were) mcv yourself.

Chaos Fortress Xtreme!
Order a chaos drone to enter a Battle Fortress. Also include some other infantries if you want to. When the enemy is gathering his troops for an assault, just attack 'em with your Battle Fortress. Your drone will release it's gas through the Fortress, thus confusing the enemy. Then get 'em to crush those enemies!

If you're rollin' in cash and want to cause a little mayhem build 2 Battle Fortresses and fill each one with 3 guardians, a seal, and a legionnaire. Then build 2 repair IFV's and a couple of dogs or Robot Tanks to clear the way for this force.

Double NUKE Wammie!
This can be pretty hard to do on a human opponent but I've done it before and it rocks! When your Nuke is done, get a flak trak full of 5 engineers and send it to their base. While it is being sent start building a nuke reactor. Before you capture a building make sure that the nuke reactor finishes construction. When you capture a building place the nuke reactor in their base and they will most likely try to kill it. Launch the nuke immediately. When they kill the nuke reactor it will explode in there base and your nuke will also hit there base! If they don't kill the nuke just make a tesla coil or two to blow it up yourself. I've done this a couple times and it completely screws up there strategy!

Magnetron FUN!
The Magnetron is one of the coolest units. Build some alone with some Yuri Clones or Yuri Prime along with a Virus. Move them so some water is between them and their target. Then have your Magnetrons pick up the units and stop them when the unit is above the water. The unit will drown. Or drop naval ships on land. Use the clones and the virus to stop any infantry coming. If any enemy Yuris approach your Magnetrons, deploy your Yuri's to fry theirs!

Allied vrs. Yuri!
Having one of the best Magnetron counters, the Prism Tank, gives the Allies an edge when fighting yuri Magnetron/Mind Controling Unit combos. Also, by being able to easly break into bases with Prism (long range) and BF (wall crushing, general killing) means unloading seals and other nasties like Chorno Legionaires in their backyard, if such a place exists. Allies have the ultimate Mastermind killer: Robot Tanks. The little machines wreak havoc agains the rolling brain of yuri's side. Allies have, aside from Dogs and Tanya, psychic immune infantry: Rocketeers, which make great Yuri Clone hunters.

As for weaknesses in the allied side: The allied navy is somewhat weak agains Yuri, though it does outperform Soviet navy in the task, when speaking of very early naval warfare. The two, maybe three destroyers, or two destroyers plus one or two dolphins that can inicially attack a Sub Pen early on are quite easely taken down by one or two Boomers, and if Yuri player keeps up sub production he will beat the taskforce. Any Destroyer you may have built in the meanwhile will arrive too late to be of help.

Chaos Everywhere!
This is an evil trick if you have the money: Get at least 25 Chaos Drones, and if there are a good amount of units in your enemies base then send your drones in and deploy em and that base is on a highway to...well, you get the idea!

Save da Slaves!
1) Chaos Defense: Hate it when you are going great and fine until you hear "Harvester under attack" only to find 20 grizzly's blowing up all of your Slave Miners? Set a few Chaos Drones around the Ore field and keep them continuously activated....its not too effective because they just eventually kill the Drones, but it let me get my miners back to the base as a distraction.

2) Brute Force: Want to disable a Yuri player's finances? If you are Yuri, charge up your Genetic Mutator, and smack it in the middle of the ore field with the Slave Miners in it...the Brutes that are formed from the miners beat down the Miner vehicles also...."Ready to crush!"

Good Soviet Tactic!
Be Iraq and build about 5-6 Rhinos and 2 Desolators. Have them clear away any defenses and such on the outskirts of your enemy's base. Then, with the Rhinos screening for a counterattack, send Boris in after the important structures (CY, WF, barracks, Refin, etc.) Keep building Rhinos to keep Boris safe and clear out the structures at your leisure.

-Soviet + Allies:1 guardian GI/flak trooper + 4 Desolators
-Yuri + Allies: 2 guardian GIs + 3 yuri clones (yuri prime won't work)
-All 3: 2 guardian GIs + 2 Desolators + 1 yuri clone
*Note: The last 2 (Y+A ,Y+A+S) really need a Grinder nearby.

Some good Strats!
Allied Base Building: In skirmish play, your first priority is to scout out land around your base, then crank out some pillboxes. It halts engineer, or yuri clone rushes and provides great defense against any other infantry. After that, build 2 or 3 patriot missile systems to kill off the air units like spy planes, rocketeers, etc. Make sure you have a steady flow of G.I.'s or other infantry while you are doing this. Also, make sure that you are building buildings at the same time, but don't let your cash fall too low. Build at least 2 additional Ore Refineries ore Chrono Miners (when you get a War Factory) to get a steady flow of income going. If there are any tech buildings in the area (except maybe a hospital) capturing it is on top priority, especially if it is an Oil Derrick. Capturing it gives you 600 ore and then 15 every few seconds. When available build a Tanya. She works great against killing off Yuri Clones, or Yuri Primes. Heck, she can kill any infantry.

Yuri Base Building: A great outer defense costs alot of money, but it's worth it. On each outside corner of your base (at least) , build a Tank Bunker. Garrison a Lasher Light Tank or Gattling Tank in each one. I suggest some lashers in some and some gattlings in other ones. Surrounding those, put at least two gatling cannons in front of them, and at least two psychic towers behind. Make sure you have a grinder near by to deposit the captured units in, or, you can send them back at their former armies or other armies to do damage that you don't have to pay for.(Well, except for the mesaly little 1500 ore) Use this same strategy for captured tech buildings. Any enemy who comes will either be dead or under your psychic control.
