Taintisville  ...written by Dark Reaper

Chapter 1

The snow descended like gentle cotton into the vast infinity of the open plains of Russia, the cold whispers of the wind casts its message into the forest where they listened…silently “ Winter is near.” They said deep in the forest, the peaceful silence that has finally fallen onto the war torn land was to be disturbed once again by the dire trumpets of war and the violent footsteps of boots, the hell’s march has started…once more.

“This is chopper zero-six heading towards the L.Z, estimate time three minutes.”

The helicopter screamed liked a banshee as it flew past the forest. The pine leaves shook and danced like it was fighting a loosing battle, the grass beneath were torn and ravaged and shivered like horrified children.

“We have reached the destination. Prepare for a rope drop, the terrain is not suitable for landing.”

The gray underbelly of the helicopter reflected like a mirror image to the darkening sky, the gray slender body of the flying beast slid across the open sky and slowly came to a halt. The land has suddenly taken a vow of silence leaving only the sound of the blade cutting through thick snowy winds as several figures dressed in snow camouflage and gas masks slowly descend to the snow infested land.

“Damn, it sure is cold around here” one of the soldier spoke into the intercom.
“Yeah, and were is the damn Russians anyways?”
“They were supposed to assemble with the rest of alpha squad three hours ago.”
“Ok People... it seems like we will have to go and look for the Russians ourselves. O’Neill, I want you to assemble a suitable defense while we wait for the rest of the squad and equipments.”
"Ok, sir I’ll get right in to-"

It was a scream that echoed through the trees and beyond. It penetrated the silent hills and trees, and a flaming light follows, soaring through the air like a wild phoenix. Screaming, it tore through the forest and connected with the helicopter, and there was chaos…

“INCOMING! AA missiles... take cover!”

The helicopter pilot never saw it coming, the explosion was devastating, and it was a beauty. The chopper first caved-in as the explosion sucks in all the air around it and slowly it expanded with it's crimson fury and engulfs the chopper, the flames spread across the air like claws of a drowning beast reaching desperately for that last bubble of air. Piece by piece the chopper begins to crumble from the inside and rained down on the land. Lieutenant O’Neill looked up just in time to see the explosion debris flying down, and the last thing that went through his mind was the sharp blade of the helicopter.

to be continued...
