Chapter
1
The European Allies had cracked. The Soviet Union pushed on toward London, decimating all who stood in their way. Using deadly Draco Heavy Tanks, Mammoth Tanks, Tesla Technology, and the suicidal MAD Tanks, the Soviets had moved swiftly, and without resistance. Dmitri had fought in the trenches, trees and countryside alongside Soviet heroes such as Boris, General Vladimir, and even Alexei Romanov himself during his conscription. When the Allies, backed by fresh American troops and Chrono Technology, began their counter-offensive, the exhausted Soviets were forced to retreat to the Motherland. Dmitri had the displeasure of carrying that burden in his past as well. Of course, massive conventional de-arming treaties and nuclear disarmament followed the end of that war.
Nearly a decade later, when an aging veteran named Romanov rose to the seat of Premier, his weapon build-ups and secret research were guaranteed. Dmitri was pleased to see someone who knew the turmoil of battle sitting in the highest seat. However, Romanov’s plans were flush with the same mistakes of Stalin during his rule. And since Romanov knew of Dmitri’s skill, he was taken from his family once again and thrust into battle. All across the American Theatre, Dmitri led his troops to victory in engagement after engagement. Once again, the initial Soviet invasion, aided by Yuri, was swift and unrelenting. Just when things were at their peak; the Americans had retreated into Canada, and Europe was quivering under the Soviet shadow, news of a coup de e’tat hit the Soviets in the US. It seemed Yuri had tried to assimilate the position of Premier through deception, but a brash young commander stationed in the Motherland managed to obliterate Yuri and his massed forces. At this, Dmitri smiled sincerely for the first time during the Second Great War.
Unfortunately, without constant pressure to surrender, the Americans retaliated, using Canadian troops and Einstein’s new Prism Technology. Like 10 years before, Dmitri and his troops made a fighting retreat from the soil he and his brethren shed blood to attain. The Premier was now incarcerated, and the Soviet military was at its lowest point since the revolution against the Czar. Dmitri felt that his time as a servant of the Union was over, believing that the Soviet Union would become part of European nations. Dmitri stowed his gear in his rusted locker in Moscow, and returned to his home to find his wife and children gone. He later learned that his wife met another man with a non-military industrial job. Somehow, he knew it was the best for both of them.
Barely 6 days after the official end of the war, the traitor, Yuri, reappeared with an army of Psychic weapons threatening to control the entire world with his Psychic Dominators. Dmitri became enraged at the incompetence of the Allies for every letting Yuri become so powerful. Suddenly, the entire world began scrambling to counter Yuri’s mind control, the Americans began to lose hope, and the only thing Dmitri could think about was going back to the beginning and doing it his own way. That evening, 2 Conscripts in full battle dress arrived at his door. They told him that Einstein had completed a time travel device, and in 4 days, the Allies would use it to go back in time to the start of the war and stop Yuri before he began his conquest of the world. It appeared that Romanov was also back in office, and requested the aid of one of his most trusted friends.
