Assault  ...written by drednought

Chapter 1

It had been a cold night out in the dessert but the soviets had been pounding us all night with little groups of conscripts all failed their task but they had done some damage as they managed to take out our eastern prism tower that was now being repaired. At 0800 hours I was told to meet a group of GIs and three SEALS to make an attempt to take out a Soviet nuclear missile silo, but it was guarded heavily. A stupid conscript had placed some barrels by the wall. It was risky but we had no other choice apart from taking out four tesla coils and all be fried no doubt. We were told the plan and all of us went off to sleep on it.

2400 hours bunker 5...

As I woke up I could hear some one shouting at me “ get up Chris GET THE HELL UP NOW!” as I awoke I saw the sergeant standing over me shouting. In ten minutes I was ready to go. I could hear the nighthawk start up and every one pile in. As I got in I noticed that we had an extra SEALl commando with us this made me uneasy.
Then I knew that this might be the last mission I was on again my heart sunk.

LZ 0200...

As we got out we could hear patrols of conscripts nearby. We were told to hit the dirt. As a conscript came running through a SEAL nailed him. Luckily we all had silencers on out guns so no one heard the gun fire. We proceeded on task with no hitches apart from some careless conscript asleep by a tree.

Soviet base 0300...

We arrived at the base at 0300 and noticed the nuke silo straight off. We proceeded around the base wall. Unfortunately the base was on extra high security alert. So we decided to scrap the barrel trick but we were to cut the wire covering the wall and make a silent entrance and split into two groups. Team alpha was to take out the power and team delta was to take out the nuke silo. It sounded easy but it soon turned into a blood bath as some careless GI shot a conscript and shot the barrels. We knew then this would compromise our mission.

to be continued...
