Time Twisted  ...written by Beast2057

Chapter 1

After the failed invasion of the United States by the Soviet Union, with Premier Romanov incarcerated in the Tower Of London and the Allied powers raising their glasses to the victory of Capitalism over Communism, the western world could see no possible threat to this time of overwhelming joy and celebration. Whereas, the now crippled Soviet Union was in the complete opposite situation.

The populous of the Soviet Union republics were in a time of great desperation...

Families wrecked by the Allied sanctions starved as happy Americans sat down to Thanksgiving dinner. The situation couldn’t seem to get any worse. Then it did...

With the news of Yuri’s reappearance being broadcast across the globe, the less well known Soviet hero Dmitri Danilov , "The Redeemer", burned with anger at the sheer foolishness of the Allied powers for believing all was calm. When he was informed of the Allied plot to travel back in time to stop Yuri, he knew this was his second chance to show the capitalists the error of their ways, and also to settle his score with Yuri for defecting from the USSR.

“Good morning, Comrade Danilov”, spoke a deep, husky Ukraine voice. The giant of a man, only known as Sascha, was the closest thing Dmitri could call a friend, with so many Allied spies constantly infiltrating Russian Intelligence, a soldier had to keep his friends close, and the Allied spies closer, or trapped in a pen with several large Siberian Attack Dogs.

“Greetings to you too Sascha”, mumbled Dmitri as he tried to shake his head from slumber, “Any news of our mission?”

“Yes Comrade. Premier Romanov has a plan to steal the ‘Time Machine’ as it’s called from under the noses of the Allies. As the Allies are preoccupied battling Yuri on Alcatraz Island, we will deploy in San Francisco and make our way towards the Time Machine, capture it and use it to take us back in time.”, reported Sascha.

“Somewhat underhand tactics for the Premier to undertake?”, questioned Danilov.

“Unfortunately, we have no alternative Comrade. For once, we must use the Allied method of sneaking about to complete our objective, so weapons fire must be restrained and used as a last resort. We should have no difficulty in neutralizing any opposing forces. Reconnaissance reports of activity from Yuri’s forces in San Francisco, we must also investigate these rumors.”, returned the Ukrainian.

“Hmm, interesting my friend, but what if we encounter any Allied or Yuri forces?”

“Very simple, we will be assisted by Dog Trainers who will scout ahead with Huskies for enemy infantry. They make little noise and won’t alert the Allies guarding the Time Machine of our presence.” Finished Sascha.

“Soviet ingenuity, flawless.”, stated Dmitri, “when are we scheduled for departure?” “Our transport leaves in one hour. We will be defended by Sea Scorpions and Dreadnoughts as we land on the coastline.”, added the Comrade.
