The Price of Glory - Chapter 3 written by cickem

With the thought of a huge tank with two 120mm cannons and AA capability stuck in his mind, Price ordered his new rag-tag squad out. With only days to come before the main invasion force is to break through Allied lines in Texas, Price knew, for some reason, he had to hurry.

The silence of Omega Sector 0532 was nerve wrecking. Every time he heard a sound, he would stop and take the safety off his M-16. He had equipped Wonsetler with an AR-55 assault rifle, just in case. The wind blew hard this morning, as the clouds above darkened. The rumbling of the thunder miles away was still extremely loud. Dust was being kicked up all over, just as Stonzie noticed a small glimmer on the horizon.

"Sir, take a look at 1 o'clock,." he suggested

Price picked up his multi-purpose binoculars and zoomed in. The picture he saw was astonishing. Over 10 Flack-tracks, most likely loaded with veteran conscripts, about 12 Rhinos, and 2 of the new Apocalypse tanks.

"TAKE COVER!!!!" Price screamed over the noise of the storm, as it got closer.

With that, the squad hurried to an abandoned mine shaft, almost twenty years old. Inside, they found a stock pile of weapons, mostly M-16s, WWII bazookas, a few MP-5s, and 10 M-60s, and thousands of rounds for each. Where it came from was yet to be discovered. They moved deeper inside, then heard an alarm sound.

--WARNING--
--INTRUDER ALERT--

With this, hundreds of men came rushing at them. With guns at the ready, Price and his men prepare to defend themselves...
