Chapter 1 Sunrise was approaching. The moment of truth was going to come. All of us GI's and SEAL's knew what we were in for. Attacking a Soviet fortification that was guarding the river was not going to be easy. This was a very well defended base with Flak and Telsa everywhere. We had to take the base out to gain control of the river, or else we would not be able to join our allies that were further up the river. As Sunrise hit, our commander stood out and shouted "Lets go"! Off we went, in two teams. Team Alpha included my teammates and I and team Beta included my friend and his men. As we approached the base we knew we were going to have to make a distraction so the troops would look elsewhere. My teammate threw a grenade at a Telsa Coil. *BLAST!* The grenade leveled the Coil. Just as the blast finished off the Tesla, a group of Conscripts and Telsa Troopers came right out of the Barracks. Team Beta was more than prepared for this. Team Alpha may have thrown the grenade but Team Beta was already deployed and ready for the enemy onslaught. As Conscripts and Telsa Troopers came running from the Barracks, they were dropping just as fast. Team Beta was deployed and firing at anything that came out of the Barracks. We were very lucky to see that there were Telsa Coils guarding the parameter of the base and not the inside. The three SEAL's we had on our team approached the Barracks as soon as the enemy stopped coming out. In a flash of light the Barracks collapsed due to the C4 Charges the SEAL's placed on them. We approached further in the base to find a Nuclear Reactor. Surprisingly there were no guards, so our SEAL team decided to demolish it. Both teams decided it would be best to get as far away as possible from the Nuclear Reactor. After all, it's blast is going to be huge and it's going to radiate the ground. Soon the SEAL's team came running from the Reactor. I over heard one of them exclaim that there was a problem. He came out running and shouting "GET AWAY, NOW"! We were already away but they weren't. |
