Covert Operations - Chapter 1 written by Teslawlo

December 7, 1948 BOOM-BOOM! That sound woke up a figure in a SEAL uniform, who sat up in his bed inside an Allied barracks. GI's, which slowly awaked cursing at the sound, soon started figuring out what the sound was. "Holy shit!" A corporal exclaimed. "I've heard that sound before…" 20 GI's gathered around him, curious. "OH MY GOD! They're Soviet Dreadnought missiles!" He suddenly screamed out loud, startling everyone around him. "MOVE MOVE MOVE!" He ordered. In a few seconds, the ugly sound of a bell stirred everyone that was still asleep in the Allied base. Captain Parker was wide awake hours ago, already observing the GI's rushing to man the pillboxes and bunkers around the small base from the base HQ. "Call The Killer" He calmly stated to one of his lower ranking staff officers. "Yes, sir!" A man responded and proceeded to immediately phone the man in the SEAL uniform. Within a half-minute, the man appeared in Captain Parker's office. "Lt. Matthews" Parker stated. "What!" the Lieutenant, annoyed by Parker's calmness, stated in a deep, raspy voice. Parker studied the Lieutenant for a second. Any ordinary Lieutenant would never dare speak to a higher officer in that sort of manner, but the Captain knew Matthews was more than that. Matthews, a man who specialized in everything and knew how to operate just about every weapon, was only 30 years of age, but the scars on his body and his battle-hardened face showed what he had been through in 30 years. For most of his military career, he had been part of the Allies' secret group of Special Operation Commandos who, under Matthews's command, had proved in multiple missions that they could do the impossible. And he hadn't his nickname The Killer for nothing. Some would call him ruthless and a man who killed all that moved, but Parker knew Matthews for a while now, and knew he would never kill if necessary. The Lt. had both wits and the guts, and he was the best shooter Parker knew. "A Soviet Dreadnought fleet is attacking the Statue of Liberty and the Reds are also invading New York." Parker finally said, in a rather loud voice. "So?" Matthews asked. Parker shouted "So? So we are the only god damn base left in New York that is still online!" at Matthews, and then paused. In a much softer voice, he promised, "Do you what day today is? 7 years ago my older brothers, Charlie and Bruce, were killed at Pearl Harbor trying to man the Arizona's guns. We are not going to lose again. Again to foreign shit!" Parker had tears in his eyes. "I am so sorry… "Matthews said. "I don't want you to be sorry! I want you to go and kill every Red in America! Destroy that Dreadnought fleet and the landing Conscripts! Then I'll be satisfied!" Parker raged on about how to use C4 explosives, but Matthews already knew how to detonate them, so he comforted Parker and left on his first mission in a long time. And did it feel good, to serve his country, to know he was going to help save his country. The Lt. got in a new prototype, the IFV, and drove until he was in good visibility range of the Statue of Liberty, then hid the IFV in an alley next abandoned buildings. The only things he brought with him were the C4 explosives strapped to his waist and chest, his personal shotgun, and the heavy machine gun he got from the barracks. He ran the rest of the way, and when he spotted some landing Soviet paratroopers and easily gunned them all down with his shotgun. After he killed the last paratrooper, he whispered to no one "bastards" and moved on. About 300 yards from the Statue of Liberty, he dropped his jaw in shock and ducked into the shadows of a building. There were 5 Dreadnoughts launching missiles at the Statue of Liberty, and only 2 Patriot missile systems defending. About 250 conscripts had already landed… Matthews silently crept towards them. A Conscript, apparently the leader of the landing conscripts, said something in Russian towards the 10 captured GI's. Most of them were injured, suffering serious injuries but bravely not complaining. "I… I don't understand you!" Private Manning said towards his Russian captors, particularly the one with the 3 stripes on his shoulder, the one who had slapped him and burst out laughing. "Perhaps you understand how an execution works!" The Conscript said in thick English to the frightened young American. "LINE THEM UP!" He shouted. The Conscripts jabbed all the GI's with their gun butts until they formed a line. "KILL THEM!" He roared victoriously. Then, the Conscripts started chanting something in really bad English that sounded like, "All hail Stalin! All hail Romanov! Death to the Allies!" The chant ended with victorious taunts from their captors and vodka being sprayed all over. The executor moved towards the first GI's head, which was Pvt. Manning. "Please, please don't kill me!" He pleaded. All of the Conscripts roared with laughter. As the executor slowly pressed his AK-47 at Manning's head, and was just about to pull the trigger, a volley of machine-gun fire sprayed the Conscripts circled around the American GI's! The surprised Conscripts panicked and ran around screaming. "DIE YOU PIECE OF RED SHIT!" a shout was heard that drowned out all of the Conscript screams. Bullets continually ripped through Conscript bodies, which sprayed blood from their bullet holes all over the grass.
