CONSCRIPT: The Conscript is the basic foot soldier of the Soviets. He can easily be built in large numbers and naturally fortifies his terrain. Use these to scout out the map and for general guard duty.

TESLA TROOPER: This trooper has a thing for tanks -- destroying them, that is. Its special "assault building" power beefs up its attack potential. You can see the tesla trooper in the pic to your left along side a tesla coil. He is firing on the tesla coil. Why you ask? Well, when he does that, he increases the power and firing range of the tesla coil itself. Cool feature!

Attack Dogs: Yep...the dogs are back once again and trained to kill enemy soldiers. They can also be used to sniff out Allied spies. The dog is no doubt a German Shepard.....or an enlarged poodle. whichever you prefer =) I personally think an attack lion would be better yet!

Terror Drones: These insect like robots are great defense against tank rushes. They move very fast, and jump inside tanks to destroy them from the inside out. While this happens you'll see the targeted tank rock from side to side before it finally explodes from the internal trauma.

CRAZY IVAN: The resourceful Ivan can plant a bomb on anything in the game -- even cows. When he's "deployed," things go boom, then fall down. You can even plant bombs on your own peeps...make a suicide run!

Engineer: Use this unit to take over enemy structures. It can also be used to repair your structures. Repairs bridges too! Good idea to keep a few around your base for emergency repairs in case you take some major hits from the enemy. You can also repair damaged civilian buildings you garrison with your troops with the engineer.

Paratroopers: These are the airborn variation of the soviet troopers. They are dropped by slow moving planes. If you capture a Tech Airport you'll get the option to build em.

Flak Trooper: Infantry unit that carries a Flak weapon that can fire at air units. Splatter them around the inside of your base fro added protection from air attacks.

YURIi: Having graduated beyond bending silverware, Yuri can mind-control a single enemy unit, or -- if he's taken his Gingko -- deploy to give off a psychic wave that kills all infantry in the area (except units immune to psionics).

Soviet Mobile Units (land - sea - air)

           Image                                 Description

MCV: This is your Construction Yard on wheels. You need to build a service depot to get this vehicle. Use this to start additional bases.

Kirov Airship: This surprisingly well-armored blimp is good for intensive attacks against bases, and never needs to re-arm.

TESLA TANK: The Ukrainians have long been the most advanced users of Tesla's super-science. Their invention and use of the Tesla Tank gives them a decisive advantage on the battle field, allowing them to combine the effects of the Rhino Heavy Tank and the Shock Trooper into a single unit.

RHINO HEAVY TANK: This standard tank has no special abilities, but can easily punch through defensive lines when fortified with conscripts. The name actually sounds tough. Best deployed in groups of as many as you can build! Then use the infamous tank rush.

APOCALYPSE ATOMIC TANK: This juggernaut of a tank relies on brute force to get the job done. Using its massive barrels, nothing will slow this monster down. Can also shoot down enemy air units or destroy tanks.

V3 Rocket Launcher: This unit fires powerful rockets that can destroy buildings in a matter of seconds. On the downside it's not that accurate and is slow at reloading its weapon. Anti-air units can shoot down it's rockets in mid-air, so you may want to take a few along when attacking an enemy base.

TYPHOON ATTACK SUB: This Soviet naval raider stays submerged when moving around and is undetectable by most enemy units. It fires torpedoes at naval targets and Shipyards. Always surfaces to fire. Cannot fire on land targets.

DREADNOUGHT: This powerful Soviet warship fires long range missiles which can be shot down by anti-aircraft weapons. A group of these ships be devastating to your opponent.

GIANT SQUID: Never big fans of sushi, the Soviets use these mind-controlled creatures of the deep to latch onto enemy ships to slow them down or even drag them under. Squid are a useful defense against Allied SEALs and Dolphins.

SEA SCORPION: This swift speedboat can target anything, but is best used in groups. One by itself is weak.

The War Miner doesn't posses any special technologies. It does however have a mounted gun to hold off enemies long enough for you to react and save your Harvester. It's also the first Harvester in any Westwood RTS game to be armed.

Flak Track: Vehicle good against air units. Use this as a support vehicle for a group of tanks to protect them from air attacks. You can also transport up to 5 troops around the battle arena with this unit.
