Specific Allied
Strategies & Tips:
Enemy forces
attacking your Chrono Miner? Simply
select the Chrono Miner and force move it back to your refinery. This saves
your Miner and leaves the enemy units wandering where the heck you vanished
to! Then while your Chrono Miner slowly moves back to the ore field again,
send ahead some units to take care of the pesky enemy so your Miner can once
again work in peace.
Chrono saves the
building: Often you can
tell where your opponent is going to nuke. When you hear the air raid sirens
go off take 1 chrono soldier and force target an important building. This
makes the building invulnerable to being nuked and when the nuke hits, the
chrono soldier dies, but the building lives. If you can afford the 1500
investment it's worth it.
Tanya Rush:
Build a Mobile Construction Vehicle. Have a Tanya built almost all the way but
right click once on her picture before she builds. That will put her on hold.
Have your Chronosphere charged. Have a barracks built and ready to be placed.
Chrono your MCV into the back of your opponents base, preferably while he is
attacking you. Place the barracks, double click to set it as primary, and
single click on Tanya's picture. You now have a Tanya in the opponents base,
blow as much stuff up as you can while continuing to crack out more Tanyas!
Harassing enemy
Ore Miners: Just as the
enemy will target your Miners, you of course will want to do the same. Take a
couple Chrono Legionnaires and place them in an ore field being mined by your
opponent. When the Miner comes along your Chrono Legionnaires will target and
hopefully eliminate him. It's best to use a group of 3-5 Legionnaires for this
task since their combined force will eliminate the target at a faster rate
than just a single Legionnaire.
Extra Air
Defenses: If you build
your base near the water, try using Aegis Cruisers for some added air
defenses. Their range may not allow you to protect your entire base, but they
can help protect structures that are build near the water's edge, plus protect
your Naval Yard and other ships. And Aegis Cruisers are the best as far as air
defenses go, even better than the Patriot Missile system.
Chrono your
ships! You have the
ability to Chrono your ships to any water location on the map. This is
especially useful if your enemy builds his base near any body of water. Just
Chrono a ship or ships next to his base and destroy what you can before he
counters your attack.
Quick Rush:
Load up a NightHawk helicopter with Engineers and move it somewhere behind the
enemy base. It's best if you can do this without the enemy spotting you.
NightHawk helicopters can't be seen by enemy radar, so this will aid on your
preparation for this strategy. When the NightHawk lands, unload your engineers
and send them into the enemy base. Take as many structures as you can before
he reacts. Go for important structures if possible. Their Construction Yard
would be ideal, but usually its very well protected. If it's walled up forget
about it. Get Power Plants, War Factories...whatever you can get to. You can
also use this same strategy by using Tanya instead of the Engineers. Better
yet, get a couple Tanyas!
Prism Tanks:
Use several of these in groups when attacking the enemy. Their burst of light
will bounce around and do damage to several units and structures with the
backlash caused by firing the weapon.
Infantry
Fighting Vehicle: The IFV
is one of the most useful and versatile units for the Allies. When you make
this unit, it comes with a twin rocket that can damage light vehicles and
infantry. But you can place units like engineers, infantry, or Tanya inside
the IFV, making a completely different unit. For example, place an engineer
inside the IFV and you have a repair vehicle for your damaged tanks etc. Stick
a Chrono Legionnaire in an IFV and you have a mobile Chrono weapon!
