Tutorial: Making Single Player Missions Tutorial by Boogrook intoduction | download tutorial
This tutorial on making single player missions is available as a download here on RADEN. It was written by Boogrook, a devoted Red Alert2 fan who has gotten much joy out of playing Red Alert2. He wanted to give something back to the community, so he decided to write a map tutorial on making single player missions using Final Alert2. This is indeed a very good tutorial that is very helpful for those just starting to use FA2. To show you how everything works this mission tutorial download comes complete with a (trn01t.map) to show you how the instructions included with the mission tutorial will look if followed correctly. And another reason is that by analyzing the map in Final Alert2, you may notice things not mentioned in the tutorial. Because waypoint, etc. are sometimes hard to find, the included map combined with the mission tutorial will help you in your quest to make single player missions for Red Alert2. Ways to learn: How do you learn to create your own
RA2 missions? Try to get as many tutorials as you can get on this subject.
The download at the bottom of the page is a great way to start! Then just
fire up your Final Alert2 map editor, start a new single-player map, and build your triggers as test. Make
your map an experimental garden. Don't be afraid to try something
new! Another great way to learn how missions are put together is to extract the original Westwood missions from your CD. They are the best study material. Have you seen something in a mission you want to recreate, open it, then analyze it. Download single player missions by other players and see how they did it.
