of Games!
Welcome
to RADEN Soldier!
The long wait is
now over, and EA is working on a new game in the Red Alert
Universe. Red Alert 3 is currently being developed at the EALA
studios in Los Angeles where some of the past Command & Conquer
games have been made. We don't have a whole lot of information
on the game as yet, but more news will be coming as the year
progresses towards the game's release that is scheduled for
winter 2008. I will of
course be covering news for Red Alert 3 here at RADEN, your home for Red
Alert Universe games since the year 2000. Make sure to join the
DEN
Forums where you can discuss Red Alert 3 with others in
the community. Enjoy your stay and RADEN!...Lion

Our First Empire of the Rising Sun Unit Profile - The King Oni Mech! Fri - Jul 4, 2008, 5:38 pm [EST] posted by Wildfire
Alright, we got our first unit, even though we've already seen it, you haven't seen it like this!
It remains unknown why the Japanese military was compelled to design such an unorthodox fighting machine as this humanoid-shaped construct, which stands approximately six stories tall and evokes images of a mechanical, hulking ogre. However, battlefield performance reports of this vehicle are very sobering, and suggest that its bizarre form factor is not merely a play against enemy morale. Indeed, the King Oni's combat capabilities alone are more than enough to dampen an opposing army's spirits.
What are you waiting for? Go check out the King Oni Mech and its secondary ability, the Bull Rush!
Unit Profile Wed - Jul 2, 2008, 12:06 am [EST] posted by Banned0bon
"Check out the first unveiled Allied Aircraft for Red Alert 3! Complete with a unit profile and battlefield footage." Straight from RA3... The first aircraft profile for the allied faction is here. Its the Apollo Fighter.
• The sky hunter -- You couldn't point to a more-specialized vehicle in the Allied arsenal than the Apollo, which is directly and exclusively suited to its role as an air-superiority fighter. While it cannot retaliate against surface targets, it is fast enough to simply outpace them.
• Upgrade kit available -- On authority from the Allied leadership team, some commanders are beginning to field newly-enhanced Apollo Fighters featuring the latest in advanced aeronautics. This upgrade kit enhances Apollos with more ammo capacity as well as superior armor and scanners.

Click here on the picture to go check it out and see how we all felt about being there other than what you learn through our summit reports.
Weekly RA3 Poll + BCPT Mon - Jun 30, 2008, 2:23 pm [EST] posted by Banned0bon
The weekly poll is actually being weekly, as in every monday there is a new poll in the CnC website for us to take. This poll isn't as fancy as i like them to be with nice coloring instead of black and white or more than 3 question choices instead of just 2 dull ones. Well at least they are keeping their word and actually adding these in so I'm happy enough. Take the poll/survey Here
There was interesting information about RA3 in BCPT #11. I wrote down some information + some Q&A from Ask a developer because not all of us have photographic memory.
Q. Are Civilian Structures coming back? Yes. Examples: Hospital (When captured all your infantry units get a global healing buff) Observation post (When captured you get to see the entire map, No fog of war)
Q. Are Spies and hijackers coming back? Yes, as spy if you capture an enemy structure you get variety of effects. Examples: power plant (when you infiltrated this structure, the enemy will temporarily lose power) war factory (when infiltrated you get sight radius around all of their vehicles)
Q. When is beta coming out? Beta is expected late July.
Powers in RedAlert3: Players accumulates Powerpoints by either killing enemy units, losing units, or over time randomly get awarded points. There is a meter over left hand part of screen witch tally up your Powerpoints. When you click that meter a menu with 3 columns pops up where you can buy your new powers witch your Powerpoints.
Two More Unit Profiles Mon - Jun 30, 2008, 5:59 am [EST] posted by Wildfire
Sorry I'm late on this. Two more unit profiles, keeping up with Apoc's promise of at least 2-3 per week, he posted them both Friday.
First one is an old favorite back from Red Alert 2, The Kirov Airship.
The unprecedented new Kirov Airship symbolizes the Soviet military's sheer size, strength, steadfastness, and, some might say, its propensity for excess. Named for its maiden launch over Kirov oblast, this dirigible is specially-built for war. A rigid, unbreakable frame and heavy-duty envelope make the massive vessel virtually indestructible, and its oversized cargo hold packs thousands of armor-piercing bombs, while an industrial-strength engine block and maneuver props somehow keep the thing aloft. By contrast with some other more-conventional Soviet forces, no expense was spared in either the design or the manufacture of these flying behemoths. Krasna Aerospace introduced the Kirov into the Union's arsenal only two years ago, and already it has changed the way modern air combat is waged, while silencing critics who once accused Krasna's past success with its Twinblade gunship to be a one-time fluke.
The Kirov, bringing the pain to a town near you!

Next one is one I bet you weren't expecting, the Allied Prospector? The Allies Harvester?
The vehicle we know as the prospector is basically just a well-put-together material supply truck suitable for the collection and transportation of raw resources. Even if it does convert into a military command hub, the prospector is close cousins with civilian trucks, and like most civilian trucks, carries no defenses whatsoever. Because of this unassuming nature, the Allies continue to express concern and dismay that prospectors now appear to be priority targets for Soviet forces. It wasn't always this way. Originally designed as industrial pick-ups, prospectors gradually became more important to Allied field posts and strategic holds. Soon enough, these vehicles began to see action on the front, in the midst of conflict with Soviet forces.
The Prospector as a command hub
That was a shocker for sure, dual purposes for the Harvester too! I guess they weren't kidding when they said EVERY unit would have a secondary ability. Go check out the Allied Prospector.
As for Part II and III of the summit. I hope to have that up Monday, I've been out of town for the weekend family stuff, but I hope to have it done. I've written most of it in my head I just have to get it typed. Thanks for your patience.
Summit Experiences Thu - Jun 26, 2008, 11:43 am [EST] posted by Wildfire
Tomorrow, I will be putting up my report on the Red Alert 3 Summit. I could've have today but I'm just not finished yet and I want it to be good and not some rush job. Until then enjoy a picture and other summit experiences from community members.
Here's an excerpt... “Are you ready to see Red Alert 3,” Aaron “Apoc” Kaufman shouted to this entourage, arriving exactly 10 minutes late, better known as Apoc time. An emphatic ‘yes’ led us to our main facility, a presentation room rigged with Dell XPS machines and 24” monitors, all top of the line. “This is where you’ll be staying for most of your time here,” he said, “where we’ll give our presentations […] and hands on time with the game.”
You'll see quite a few pictures that I'll be posting. HeXeTiC from PlanetCnC shared his over 300 pictures that he took with everyone that attended. So stay tuned!

Red Alert Q&A Update #5! Fri - Jun 20, 2008, 7:55 pm [EST] posted by Banned0bon
6 brand new questions have been answered in the latest Q&A by the RA3 team. Go Here to read them all.
• Are Gap Generators in the game? No, the Allies don’t have any Gap Generators in Red Alert 3. However, clever players will be able to use Chrono technology to temporarily hide their units and structures from prying eyes.
I don't wanna ruin it by giving you any hints, just click, trust me, if you love Red Alert you'll love this
Update: I've embedded the video so you don't have to click on the link. Much better

V4 Rocket Launcher Profile Thu - Jun 19, 2008, 11:28 pm [EST] posted by Banned0bon
Once again, just 2 days after the last one. The V4 Rocket Launcher profile is now here. It is the Soviets' 5th profile and the first "tank" like unit we've seen so far. We have yet to received a unit profile from the new faction "Empire Of The Rising Sun". They are still keeping this faction in the down low. At least they are not keeping everything hidden from us. Until then enjoy the V4 Rocket Launcher info.
• Multiwarheads -- With each rocket launch, the V4 has the option either for a concentrated attack suitable for single targets, or a widespread attack effective against enemy groups. The reduced accuracy of the multiwarhead firing mode is offset when multiple V4 Rocket Launchers all attack at once.
